May 04, 2018 by Nastasha Alli in Recipes

If you've progressed through my 3-step "why you should make adobo" program, congratulations - you've now got the best part!

Adobo Flake Rice Bowl

Making chicken adobo for the sake of having adobo flakes to eat later is a totally normal thing.

  • 1/2 cup pre-cooked chicken adobo flakes

  • 1 cup cooked rice

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

  • Green onions (to garnish)

  1. Start with a batch of adobo flakes. If you haven’t made some yet, start here!

  2. In a small pan, fry the egg in the oil.

  3. Reheat rice and adobo flakes if necessary.

  4. Transfer rice to a bowl and top with the egg, adobo flakes and green onion.

It also makes a great packed lunch, with or without the fried egg!
